Our Innovation Pathways Program is now accepting applications from the Class of 2029 (rising freshmen) for the Business & Finance and Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing Pathways! The online application will be accessible through March 31st, 2025. Each graduating class can accommodate 20 students per pathway. The Innovation Pathways program uses a lottery system to select students. Families will be notified of their status during the first week of April. If you have any questions about the process or the application please reach out directly to our Innovation Pathways Coordinator, Bridget Hannigan, at bhannigan@nrsd.net.
The Innovation Pathways Program at Nashoba Regional High School is an exciting venture designed to transform the learning experience for students by directly linking their education to real-world applications and future careers. By focusing on high-demand fields identified by the state of Massachusetts, the program offers students hands-on learning opportunities through internships and capstone projects. This approach not only enriches their academic journey but also provides them with practical skills and insights into various professional sectors.
Integral to the program is a series of technical and advanced courses within Nashoba’s curriculum, aimed at deepening students’ knowledge and preparing them for post-secondary success. Students in the Innovation Pathways Program are required to complete two technical-level courses and two advanced-level courses within their chosen pathway. Advanced courses are offered in various formats, including Project Lead the Way, AP-level classes, and select courses that provide college credit, giving students a head start on their academic and career goals.
Additionally, through strategic partnerships with local employers, students gain early exposure to career options through guest speakers, field trips, and eventually a Capstone course that offers internship hours. These experiences are geared towards building student confidence and helping them to make informed decisions about their future paths. This blend of experiential learning and academic rigor ensures that every participant is well-equipped for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
The technical and advanced coursework students take within their Pathway is fully integrated into student's overall progress and credits earned for graduation.
